Optron Makes "Best Performance" at GA Tech New Musical Instrument Competition 2017!

Chet Udell was awarded People's Choice "Best Performance" with the Optron at a competition in GA Tech - what WIRED Magazine has described as the X-games for new musical instruments.

 

A pool of 18 world semi-finalists were selected from the most competitive applicant pool in the event's 10-year history. Judges typically include top CEOs, intellectuals, and producers in the music industry. This year's panel consisted of :

Elaine Chew A professor of digital media at Queen Mary University in London and classical pianist.; Mike Adams The CEO of Moog Music Inc. for the past 14 years; and Daedelus An inventor, producer, and performer of sonic labyrinths combining sounds from an eclectic palette into an innovative genre.
